Week #06 Snake Emergence on Sunny Day
If only these terrestrial garter snakes had not been moving so fast, you’d be able to see there were upwards of 50 emerging from their den; slithering on top and around each-other as they emerged! These snakes were out because it is a sunny day and they frogs, their favorite meal, are out in the sunshine. They also eat insects, lizards, and small rodents.
