How many plants do you think CalTrans crews have planted on Willits Bypass Mitigation Lands? Hundreds, thousands? Not even close, they are quickly approaching 2 million plants.
They have planted an amazing diversity of all native plants locally sourced, and the results are phenomenal. MCRCD wants to say thank you to all of the many hands and minds that went into this incredible feat. With native plants, comes native insects, and a healthier native ecosystem. I cannot wait to see the many native rushes, sedges, grasses, trees, shrubs, flowers, and herbs, once again flourish.
