Soil and Water Technician

Genna comes to MCRCD as a young career professional in regenerative agriculture and watershed restoration. She is currently serving in an AmeriCorps role working with the Soils and Water Program teams on Carbon Farm Plans, soil health monitoring and water resources projects. Her professional experience includes supporting carbon monitoring projects on working rangelands across various landscapes such as in California and Texas. With a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from UC-Berkeley and a focus on Regenerative Food Systems, she hopes to continue building skills in a sustainable food movement, working with teams on watershed health initiatives, and overall collaborating on climate resilience projects. She is thrilled to serve Mendocino and Lake Counties in her capacity as a GrizzlyCorps Fellow with the conservation district for the 2023-2024 service year.
