Programs and Services
Outreach & Education – The MCRCD designs many of our projects to include an outreach and education component for adults and children alike. Through workshops, volunteer work days, tours, and published materials, we assist in educating our current and future landowners in conservation practices.
Planning & Assessment – MCRCD perfoms multiple levels of planning, from large scale integrated watershed management plans, to watershed assessments, to roads and stream assessments for individual landowners. MCRCD assessments are used as the foundation documents to secure grant funding for project implementation.
Biological Surveys & Services – MCRCD staff conducts snorkel surveys and fish relocation, riparian design, insectary hedgerow design, and biological surveys including threatened or endangered raptors and the California red legged frog.
Project Management – MCRCD staff manages projects from start to finish. MCRCD assists landowners with project development and securing funding, through permitting and implementation. We hire only licensed contractors and ensure every project meets regulatory approval.
